«Caminantes, no hay caminos, hay que caminar»

Some of Luigi Nono‘s compositions suggest that there are no certain roads or safe routes. Yet we must continue to walk through the existing.

We also embrace Vittorio Arrigoni‘s motto «Let’s stay human», when we think, talk, dance, and – above all – when we film.

Hay que caminar travels across Africa through videos and reflections, promoting research and documentation aimed at setting off the cultural biodiversity of the continent from which we all come.

Projects

Hay que caminar promotes research, documentation and communication.

We are working on the project «Fomba Gasy – traditional cultures from Madagascar», a trilogy of videos/films documenting three important Malagasy traditions: beko and lokanga of theTandroy people of southern Madagascar, tromba of the Sakalava people of Boeny in the northwest of the island, and, in the central plateau, hira gasy of the Merina people.

Videography

We produce stories for images and video clips strung together along a path. We do not seek images to magnify ourselves, much less we steal them.

Some of the HAY QUE CAMINAR videos are posted on our social media, while others are shared during our presentations.
